Forklift Battery Model and Serial Number
How do I find the model and serial number on a forklift battery?
When purchasing a replacement lead acid battery for a forklift, you need to know the battery model number. To locate this, look at the top of the battery. The model and serial number are found under the positive terminal post cover on the top of the battery. Follow the red cable on the top of the battery to the terminal post cover. Use a non-conductive tool, like the end of a ballpoint pen, to remove the plastic cover. The model number will be stamped into the lead post.
How do I find out what battery model I have in my forklift?
There are a few ways to determine what battery is installed in your lift truck.
First, decide on a battery brand, then use a battery selector guide to find the model number. These guides will help you identify the correct battery for your forklift.
Make sure to know your forklift brand and model. It's also helpful to measure the battery compartment from front to back. With this information, you can select the right battery for your forklift.
