When purchasing a replacement lead acid battery for a forklift, you will need to know the model number of the battery. To do this, you need to look at the top of the battery. The model and serial number is found under the positive terminal post cover on the top of the battery. To know where that is, follow the red cable on the top of the battery to the terminal post cover. Remove the plastic cover with the end of a ball point pen (non-conductive). The model number is listed stamped into the lead post.
