Noncontact Accumulation Conveyor
Definition: What is a Non contact Accumulation Conveyor?
A noncontact accumulation conveyor consists of a number of zones that extend from the first end of the conveyor to a second end. Each zone uses its own electric drive motor.
These motors are independent of one another. They can be activated independently of the drive motors in any of the other zones to drive a respective zone in either a reverse or forward direction.
Each zone includes a sensor for sensing the presence or absence of a load, as well as the direction of movement within it. It is used to transfer randomly spaced products received from an input conveyor to precise locations.
