What is Pallet Racking
Racking, or rack, or pallet rack is one of the critical tools in the materials handling industry. Racking is a steel structure built with two or more upright frames, beams, and connectors. It is a type of industrial shelving. Its purpose is to support materials in storage. Welding, bolting or clipping are the typical methods used to assemble rack in a warehouse.
Steel pallet rack structures are designed and erected to enable forklift operators to store the maximum amount of inventory loaded on pallets, while still providing accessibility for order picking. It is also designed to protect stored product. When well optimized, it enables the flow of product within a warehouse.
